Learn how to split up big projects so other tasks can be intertwined throughout the project

Updated over a week ago

"I have a large project, and nothing else is being scheduled until it is completed. How do I spread out the project so other tasks still get scheduled?"

If you have tried to schedule a huge project (ex: 10+ hours), you've probably noticed that FlowSavvy will not schedule anything else until that task is completed.

Sure, it'll split the task around your events and scheduling hours, but it won't schedule any other tasks until that first task is completed.

The way to spread out that large task is by breaking it down into a smaller task that repeats.

For example, instead of creating a 20-hour task, try creating a 2-hour task that repeats daily and ends after 10 occurrences. 2hrs * 10 occurrences = 20hrs total.

This is super customizable, so you can tweak it as much as you need! If you want to work in bigger chunks, do 5 hours every 3 days, ending after 4 occurrences (20 hours total still). Want to jump back and forth between two projects? Make both of them repeat every 2 days, offset by one day, etc.

Hopefully this helps you make your large projects a little more realistic by spreading them out, and if you still have questions about how to set this up, please reach out and we'll be happy to help!
