Custom Color-Coding

Customize the colors of your events and tasks

Updated over 3 weeks ago

How are events/tasks color coded by default?

By default, events are colored according to the calendar they are in, and tasks are automatically color-coded by how close they are scheduled to their due dates.

How do I make tasks show list/calendar color?

Tasks use automatic color coding by default, but if you prefer to use your own color schemes, you can set tasks to use the list color in Settings > Events and Tasks > Task Color. Tasks can show either the automatic color coding or the list color, but not both.

If you want your tasks to show as the calendar color, set the list color to the same color as the calendar's color, and then set Task Color to "List color" as described above.

How do I change the color of an entire calendar?

  1. In the FlowSavvy menu, click Settings > Calendars

  2. Click the calendar you want to change

  3. Choose a color from the color dropdown, then click Save

Note: Some newer versions of the app do not allow editing the color of external calendars (Google, Outlook, iCloud calendars). To edit the color of these calendars, edit them in the original service that owns them. The color will be updated during the next sync.

How do I change the color of just one event or task?

  1. Click on the event or task you want to edit

  2. Click the "color" field

  3. Choose a color, then save the task/event

Note: Setting a custom color on a task overrides the automatic color-coding, so you won't be able to see if a task is scheduled close to its due date at a glance
